ALEX GREENZEIG's Off-Broadway/Professional Theatre credits include The Broadway Kids Sing Broadway at Lamb’s Theatre and The Little Maestros (Nokia Theatre, Kaye Playhouse and the CD recording). He has also worked with some gifted creative teams and casts in several NY equity workshops/ readings, playing the role of Eddie in 13 a new musical (music/lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, directed by Jeremy Sams); Young Sydney in Behind the Limelight (with George Hearn and Euan Morton) (music/lyrics/book by Christopher Curtis, directed by Michael Unger); and Izzy Izzaford in Little Mary (WNFB Theatre Festival). Alex also played the role of Willy Wonka in an MTI/itheatrics staged reading for the estate of Roald Dahl of Willy Wonka Jr. at Lamb’s Theatre (adapt. by Tim McDonald); and the role of “Julio” in an MTI/itheatrics staged reading for Stephen Schwartz's Captain Louie Jr.. His regional theatre credits include the Children’s Choir in Joseph . . . Dream Coat (KJK Prod., Tarrytown Music Hall.); Pop! Goes the Musical! (Paper Mill Playhouse Sum. Conserv.); and Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland the musical (RFKT, Purchase Perf. Arts Center). Alex has enjoyed playing lead roles in numerous community teen musicals. His television credits include guest roles on “Six Degrees,” “Law and Order, SVU,” and “Third Watch”. He also appears in a national network commercial for Detrol LA and in the NYU student film Wunderkind, (adapt. of C. McCullers’ novel). Some of his favorite live performances include singing halftime, NY Knicks, Madison Sq. Garden; singing with the Broadway Kids at Royal Swedish Gala in honor of King of Sweden (Cipriani’s, NYC), and at Worldwide Orphans Foundation Gala with Donna Murphy (Capitale, NYC); and performing with Broadway taper Jimmy Tate at the “Broadway Comes to Yonkers” benefits. Alex is also an accomplished musician who plays the drums, guitar and bass guitar, and is an avid rhythmic tap dancer.
